Read StoryEducation sits at the heart of Out of the Ashes Kenya's mission. We believe that an educated child can break cycles of poverty, transform families, and become a leader in their community. Since 2008, every child in our care has been enrolled in school and supported to achieve their potential.
Our education programme spans primary, secondary, and university level — with dedicated sponsorships, stationery, uniforms, and tutoring support. We celebrate every result, every promotion, and every graduation as a victory for the whole Out of the Ashes family.
"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." — Proverbs 22:6
All children in the home are enrolled in quality local primary schools. We cover fees, uniforms, books, and stationery — removing every barrier to attendance.
Students are supported through secondary school — a critical stage where many Kenyan children drop out due to financial pressures.
Our proudest achievement — 4 university graduates, 6 college graduates, and 2 currently studying at university. We sponsor fees, accommodation, and living costs for all who are ready.
These are the children who arrived in 2008 without a school uniform — and now hold university degrees. Every single one is a miracle.
